September 2022 Presenter: Tony Carr

You are invited! Please make plans now to join us for our first meeting of the season on Monday September 19, 2022 for some fun and fellowship! This is our regular monthly members meeting.


Our plan is to hold this meeting in person AND via Zoom. Any changes due to Covid will be announced prior to the meeting.

For September, our presenter will be Tony Carr, owner of The Brass Ring, a metal restoration and fabrication company specializing in brass, copper and silver polishing.

Refreshments/Social Time: 5pm-6pm

Meeting runs 6-8pm.

(Presentation will be approximately 6:30-7:30)


We will meet in the FRONT meeting room (adjacent to the kitchen) . This is the first room on the left after entering through the lobby.

  • While they are no longer required, in light of the risk of COVID infection and CDC guidelines, we recommend that everyone wear masks during the meeting except when eating. The Board will revisit this policy as the situation evolves or park policies change.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Tony Carr

Tony Carr is a self-taught artist from North Augusta, SC. He works with multimedia and creates both two-dimensional and three-dimensional pieces of art. Mr. Carr uses copper, creating unique lights and woven metal baskets as well as stained glass, creating one-of-a-kind glass wall pieces and mirrors. He also creates custom pieces of art and does restoration of stoneware, pottery and other artifacts for museums and collectors on commission.


Mr. Carr has been creating commission pieces and selling his work in galleries across the South for over 20 years. He is the former Vice President of “The Arts and Cultural Council” in North Augusta and is also a board member of the “North Augusta Artists Guild." He has been featured in newspapers and magazines such as the Augusta Chronicle and the North Augusta Star.


Tony finds joy in creating art and helping to bring art into people’s lives. As Tony says, “I am forever learning and passing on knowledge with the hope that the differences in people will help them find the commonality between us all. That will truly bring everyone together.”
