About the Artist
Dale Bishop
From early childhood and schooling, creating art with any medium was Dale's passion.
She graduated with a degree in Art/ Art Education from Lander University and has had the privilege of continuing education with admirable artistic mentors in workshops over the United States such as Daniel Greene, Frank Covino, David Gray, Seth Haverkamp, for whom she is deeply indebted.
She is a member of the Portrait Society of America which advocates continuing education in art.
Also she is a current member of Crooked Creek Art League and Trenholm Art League for local fellowship, education and challenges to her current work .
Her career includes designing art for textile industries as well as commissioned design work in 12 original cross stitch books, record covers, pamphlet illustration, teaching ceramic arts for city of Westminster, S.C., and teaching art history and medium techniques/practice in Batesburg and Lander High Schools of S.C.
Her mediums are oil, acrylic, gouache, prisma with her work leaning toward an animated realism and high color with small touches of design resonation. The subject matter is very eclectic; however, situational portraits and human studies are her primary interest.
"The problems presented in the creation process of a piece of art is what drives me; process in creation is my personal reward."

About the Artist
Barbara Teusink
Barbara Teusink is an artist whose work is represented in private collections across the USA and Canada. A contemporary realist, Barbara’s subjects include still life, floral, portrait, figure and landscape. Her paintings have won numerous awards at the State and Local level.
Working primarily in oils, Barbara began her artistic studies in November 2012 after retiring from a professional career in educational technology. She continually seeks to improve through diligent self-study, weekly classes and occasional workshops. She strives to capture and preserve the beauty all around us in the fleeting moments of life; an expression or gesture, the light, the season, or a striking arrangement of objects. Barbara lives in Chapin with her husband, dog and cat.
A very active member of the Crooked Creek Art League, Barbara has served in numerous roles including two terms as president. She currently serves as co-Webmaster and Social Media Manager, Parliamentarian and Community Art Chair. She served as team leader for the popular "The Arts Sail Into Chapin" sailboat project last year.
