About the Artist

Sonia Tuttle

I began seriously painting in watercolor in 2003 and never looked back. Leading up to that I grew up in upstate New York and moved to the area in 1985. Much of my previous art was in photography, drawing, acrylics and oil, never watercolor. Once I was introduced to watercolor I was hooked and took as many classes and workshops as I could.

My earliest watercolor lessons were with Ann Hightower Patterson White and Ester Melton, of which each of these talented teachers gave me the tools I needed to continue my new passion.

In the past I have won First and Third place awards at the SC State Fair Amateur Division, 2009 and 2010, and recently won a Merit Award with the Cayce Arts Guild’s first juried show.

I am a member of Trenholm Art Guild, Cayce Arts Guild and Crooked Creek Art League.

I so enjoy painting and hope you will enjoy seeing my work.
