Chapin Town Hall Featured Artist - Debi Kelly October December 2023

Please join us in congratulating Debi Kelly for being the newest featured artist in the Chapin Town Hall Gallery. Her pastel paintings will be on display October through December 2023. Debi is an award-winning artist and served as vice-president for the past two years.

Artist Bio


Debi enjoys painting classic cars/trucks, wildlife and the colorful landscapes of the South. She is currently an Associate Member of the Pastel Society of America in New York and a “Master Pastelist” with the Southeastern Pastel Society in Atlanta. She is also a member of the Pastel Society of SC and the Crooked Creek Art League. She has been accepted into and received numerous awards in international, regional and local shows, including the Southeastern Pastel Society, Pastel Society of SC, National Association of Women Artists (SC), Union County Arts Council, Fairfield County Arts Council, Anderson County Arts Center, Spartanburg Art Museum, the South Carolina State Fair and the Crooked Creek Art League. Her work has also been exhibited at ArtFields in Lake City.


"My goal as an artist is to draw the viewer in to the painting for a closer look by using liberal touches of color, unusual angles, and detailed drawing to capture movement and life. I want my audience to create their own story while traveling through the painting."

The gallery is located in the Community Room in the Chapin Town Hall at 157 NW Columbia Avenue. It hosts the artwork of one of Crooked Creek Art League's finest artists on a two month rotation.


The Town is a big supporter of the arts in Chapin and we are thrilled to be working with them to showcase more art in town.
