Judy Maples

My name is Judy Maples. I was born and raised in Wilson, NC. My husband and I - along with our 3 dogs (foster fails!) and 2 cats - live on a farm that we affectionately call “Red Foot Farms” in Prosperity.

I love the midcentury modern style and abstract paintings, especially those of Rothko. So, when Crooked Creek Art League announced Larry Moore’s workshop on the principles of abstraction, I quickly signed up. My paintings are acrylic on canvas, but it’s also fun to experiment with watercolor and oil.

I’ve truly been bit by the painting bug. In fact, I’m happiest when I’m either painting or fostering puppies.
