Artist Bio
Carol Hartman
Carol L. Hartman is a native of New York. Upon marriage, she moved with her husband to Maryland where she attended the College of Norte Dame, graduating with a Master of Arts from the College of Notre Dame. She received her certification to teach art in both Maryland and Pennsylvania. In addition to numerous studio art classes in watercolor, acrylics, and oils, she has taken numerous workshops with renowned watercolor artists Frank Webb, John Salminen, Judi Betts and others.
Carol enjoys painting portraits of children and adults along with animal portraits. She also paints flowers, birds, landscapes and abstract paintings. Since retiring from education, she has taught art classes in small groups as well as private lessons. She has exhibited her work in New York, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and South Carolina. She has received numerous awards for her artwork and sold her paintings in several states. Carol currently resides in Chapin with her husband and three pets.

Inspiration for this painting - memories of happy times spent on my grandmother's front porch as a child
CCAL Gallery Host:
Each month, CCAL shines a spotlight on one of our own. The Chapin Chamber of Commerce graciously features the art of this artist in their lobby in the CCAL Spotlight Artist Gallery.
This exhibit features one piece of wall hanging artwork per month.
The gallery is located in the lobby of the Chapin Chamber of Commerce at 302 Columbia Avenue in Chapin. It hosts a rotating display with a new piece from a Crooked Creek Art League artist featured each month.
