About the Artwork

This is a pulled print of a Texas bluebonnet. The image was first painted on a piece of plexiglass. Then the plexiglass was pressed using a print-making roller onto a previously prepared damp special print paper. The image transfers to the paper and is allowed to dry completely. If the original plexiglass painting is strong enough, one can often get a second print, called a ghost print, although the second print is usually lighter than the original print.
