Calling All Artists!
Calling all artists!
Crooked Creek Art League is pleased to announce a request for proposals for a new large art installation to be added to the Chapin Art Trail.
CCAL is working with the Town to set up an ongoing Chapin Arts Trail throughout the community. The trail will include all current authorized public works of art and art related sites in the greater Chapin area on a website and other promotional materials that will enable citizens to engage in an ongoing self-guided tour of the area and its many works of public art. The area is rich with talented local artists and art lovers. There are quite a few pieces of public art already throughout the area and new ones are being added all the time. The Chapin Art Trail seeks to beautify the community with public art displays created by local artists.
Under this RFP, CCAL seeks to contract for the creation and installation of a new piece of artwork to be added to the trail. Grant funds have been secured through a Connected Communities Grant to compensate the artist(s) for the new artwork.
CCAL will provide the selected artist a stipend of up to $5,000 for the installed artwork. Artwork must be completed and fully installed by April 1 at the latest.
Full project description and details are available online. Online application for this project is required. Artists may read more and submit their completed application at: crookedcreekart.org/communityart-artist-application. Applications must be received no later than Nov 1, 2022.
