Blue Lavender Gallery - May 2021: Rebecca Horne
Please join us in congratulating this month's featured artist in the "Blue Lavender Spa Gallery", Rebecca Horne, with her amazing painting.
About the Artwork
Title: "Morning Glorious"
Media: Fluid Acrylic on board
Size: 16x20
Price: $250
Artist Statement: This type of fluid acrylic painting is the most difficult and complicated fluid art technique to create. In order to achieve this technique, I make the paints from scratch using pigments. Making the paints can take hours but the actual painting may take ten minutes if I’m lucky! I love making them look like dramatic abstract flowers. The pigments I use create have an iridescent effect when the light hits. Also, if you look closely, you can see where the colors float on top of one another. I believe this one turned out particularly well!

Rebecca Horne
Rebecca is a self-taught artist currently working in fluid acrylics and textured acrylics. She began painting as a child whose father was an artist. She has explored many creative mediums throughout her life such as: watercolors, landscapes, flower and pet portraits in oil. She feels that this type of art allows her to have full creative freedom when she works.
