Artist Bio:
Jean Baldwin
The unpredictability and fluidity of watercolor are what excites me. I love to watch the colors blend and the painting paint itself. I took a class in watercolor thirty years ago and fell in love with the medium. Since then, I have painted off and on while working as an RN. Other than taking a workshop with Janet Rogers and one with Skip Lawerence, I have been learning on my own with books by Charles Reid. I love his direct painting approach and his loose, watery style. Charcoal just came naturally for me. I think I am drawn to these two mediums because they both let me work in a spontaneous, expressive way.

CCAL is proud to partner with Prosperity for an exhibition gallery in the Prosperity Town Hall. We are grateful for their support and proud to have them as a business partner in supporting the arts in the community.
In this gallery, preference is given to art and artists with a direct connection to the Town of Prosperity, but all artists in the league can participate.
This exhibit hosts a minimum of 6-8 pieces but can accommodate as many as 12 pieces of wall hanging artwork per month.
