February 2017 Presenter: Donnie Hughes
The presenter for our February 20, 2017 monthly meeting will be Donnie Hughes.

Artist Donnie Hughes was born in Anderson, SC in 1947 and now lives in Lexington, SC with his wife Nancy and their 2 little dogs, Rascal and Spanky. He worked as the Art Director for a printing company for 35 years before painting full time 6 years ago.
Hughes graduated from Anderson College and the University of South Carolina with a BA degree in Art. He and his identical twin brother Ronnie have always known that art was their destiny in life. They have a burning passion for the beauty in the world around them. Always searching for subjects such as old barns, flowers, lighthouses and wildlife of all kinds.
Both compete and encourage each other through-out their art careers and have entered many national competitions and shows, having exhibited at Sewe in Charleston, SC, Germantown Gallery in NC, Blue Ridge Art Center in Seneca, SC. Articles written about them in US Art Magazine and Sporting Classics Magazine.
In addition to the 2014-2015 SC Duck Stamp, Donnie has previously been chosen for the Iowa Duck Stamp, two time winner of the Delaware Trout Stamp and named 2015-2016 Artist of the Year for Idaho Ducks Unlimited.
