Burroughs-Franklin B. Chapin Art Museum in Myrtle Beach. The exhibition runs through November 27. The hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Hours will be the same after the Thanksgiving holiday (they are closed only on Thanksgiving Day).
After the exhibition, her piece will travel the state for a year with 30 other paintings, including Anne Hightower-Patterson's (recently honored by Watercolor magazine)! To paraphrase the juror, Marc Taro Holmes' comments about Karen's piece "To simplify and paraphrase the juror, Marc Taro Holmes, this painting was just fun to look at. The diagonal composition gave it movement and the vibrant colors were the perfect choice. And it was obvious the artist knew how to handle these new materials. Fun! Karen says "I am honored!!!"
