Workshop Description (from the instructor)
Glazing techniques in acrylics; creating depth, distance, and the illusion of transparency in a painting. A discussion and demonstration using oil paints will also take place, but because of time limitations required for oils to dry, this first workshop will focus on using the techniques with acrylics, water, and a mixing medium.
About the Instructor
Campbell Frost's first published work of art, a pencil sketch, appeared in the nationally syndicated "Ripley's Believe it or Not" daily newspaper feature in the 1950s, this honor had previously been bestowed upon Peanuts cartoonist Charles M. Schulz.
After serving in the U.S. Army in the 1960s, Campbell attended The University of Tennessee, where he obtained a degree in Fine Art.
