Artist's Statement

Shortly after CCAL was established, Crooked Creek Park asked the league to develop and install a large scale mural within the park building. The history of Chapin was identified as a worthy subject and this mural is the result of that collaborative design process.

About the Artwork

A large scale 50 foot long wall mural in the CCP Recreation Building. The mural commemorates and celebrates the founding and history of Chapin. Designed by artist Hilda Beaver, the artwork was completed by Hilda and assorted other CCAL artists. This is one of the oldest pieces on the trail!

Installed circa 1998

About the Artist

A collaborative piece, the mural was designed and created by a team of CCAL artists and members led by the mural designer, Hilda Beaver.
