This year's annual contest "It's Your Choice" was presented on Monday May 17. We had a great crowd for our May Meeting and End of Year Party. It was exciting to have an in person meeting for the first time in over a year and we were happy to be able to extend Zoom access to join the meeting for those who could not join us in person. Due to COVID, we couldn’t do our usual spread of food but we did have beautiful handmade CCAL cookies and a variety of individually packaged snacks and beverages and a lot of laughter and fellowship. It was a lovely evening to spend with art friends! We had 37 members and three guests in attendance.

There were 23 wonderful paintings entered with the common theme of "SC Feathered Friends and Wildlife”. The artwork, which includes paintings, photographs and metalwork, are now hanging in the Tap Gallery of the Crooked Creek Rec Center. It is a wonderfully diverse exploration of this theme. All members present voted to select the winners. Congratulations go to all!

A great big "Thank you" to Kay Fox for coming up with the theme and doing a great job organizing the contest and to all who participated in making this evening memorable. We would like to thank each of the artists for sharing your creations and your participation in the event.
