Artist Bio:

D'Michelle DuPre

I walk in two worlds all the time. My left brain and my right brain competing for attention. I grew up in South Carolina, a first-generation college graduate, and spent fifteen years in corporate America with a Fortune 500 company in NYC where I travelled the world. But even then, my creative side would not be held back. I was in marketing and advertising. I left corporate America and a partner and I started a full-service marketing and advertising agency in the Caribbean. Hurricane Hugo came and destroyed our business but I was fortunate enough to pursue another passion...I went to medical school! I loved the Caribbean and went back to work there for several years. Retired now, I've finally returned to one of my other great passions - creativity. I love painting and art, photography, writing mystery novels, and gourmet cooking. I’m actually a trained chef and Level II Sommelier!

My artwork is mostly in acrylic and watercolor; 'abstract realism' I call it. I have a Caribbean Collection consisting of geckos, hummingbirds, sailboats and lighthouses. I enjoy painting subtle landscapes and cityscapes of all types. I have true abstracts and flow paintings as well as some mixed media. Recently I've ventured into digital art. Stay tuned for that! You can see my art collections at www.artbydupre.com or FineArtAmerica.com contact me at: artbydupre@gmail.com. Or visit my creative writing page at www.jessemacwilliams.com, a pen name after my three dogs: Jessie, Mac and Willie!

Two artists are featured in this gallery with each display. Each artist has a 8x10 wall to display a dozen or more pieces of wall hanging artwork. The displays rotate every two months.
