Artist Bio

James DiFrancesco

James was born in Passaic, New Jersey. The young, up-and-coming metal artist has won multiple awards from the Crooked Creek Art League and the South Carolina State Fair.

James has loved working with his hands since he was a child. From building with Legos to taking old electronics apart and making them function again, James always could look at something and recreate it. That talent was always there, but he never imagined it would become his career.

After spending time in many lines of work, James had an opportunity to study welding and fabrication at Clackamas Community College in Oregon. His passion came alive when he understood metallurgy and what is needed to form metal into art.

James began creating his art when he moved to Chapin, SC in 2015. His inspirations come from all that he sees around him. When looking at metal, he just doesn’t see metal, but what it had to undergo to create shapes and forms of the finished pieces. James loves what he does and puts his whole heart into each and every creation.
